Wandering in Mountain Village 2020 / Ceramic
Developed during a residency in the hillside settlement, this series abstracts spatial elements of the site into ceramic forms.
Wall segments, roof lines, vegetation, and points of rest are reduced to structural fragments, then reorganised through relief and sculptural arrangements.
The works operate as condensed spatial studies, examining how architectural and environmental components can be reconfigured into a compact material index of Treasure Hill Art Village.

While the formal structure of the series focuses on spatial fragments, its approach remains shaped by the unique coexistence within Treasure Hill, where residents, artists, and the institution share the same living environment.
For this reason, the works adopt a warmer and more approachable tone: small ceramic figures, scaled like game pieces, can be placed freely across the two hill structures.
This interactive element reflects the everyday movement of people within the village and is the reason the project is titled Wandering in Mountain Village.
